We have good news for students planning on studying in a foreign country: the eighth annual InternationalStudent.com Travel Video Contest is now open! Students who enter have the chance to win a $4,000 prize, a Viewer’s Choice Award, as well as other runner prizes.
So go out and create the best video you can make—no longer than five minutes—that tells us all about your proposed study abroad. If you are already an international student, the video can be about any trip that you would like to take. We have seen all kinds of videos over the years: animations, stop motion films, talented performers, beautiful cinematography, and simply compelling stories. So get those creative juices flowing and get started!
The final submissions deadline for the contest is October 23. The finalists will be announced the week of October 23, and the winners announced on November 15, the last day of International Education Week.
We choose the finalists from all of the entries, and the judges will choose the winners. Viewer voters determine the Viewer’s Choice Award winner, who will also automatically be a finalist.
Entering the Contest
- Review all Rules and Regulations. We cannot accept your video entry if it does not confirm to our policies.
- Submit an Entry Form. After completing the video, complete an entry form and mail, email, or fax it to us by October 23.
- Submit your Video. Videos can be delivered in a number of ways: by uploading to our server (this is the best way); by uploading to YouTube, Vimeo, or another online video service and emailing us the link; or by mailing a mini DV or DVD to the address below.
Finalists will be notified by us, and must provide a high-resolution version of their video by mini DV in NTSC format, or a DVD in .MOV or .AVI format. Do not send files compressed for web use, and please keep a backup of your entry.
